Core Business
1. Developing policies and operating standards to form a solid benchmark for the industry to use in planning their province wide activities without fear of unfavorable interoperation of the rules;
2. Implementing proponent-driven approval processes, where accountability and responsibility for proposed undertakings land solely on the shoulders of the proponent;
3. Administering land disposition processes for the exploration, production and storage of hydrocarbons on Crown Land on behalf of the people of Ontario;
4. Planning and implementing an enforcement program where the responsibility for examination and reporting lie with certified examiners, while auditing and enforcement lie with the staff of the PRC;
5. Collecting data necessary to provide a sound basis for regulatory, policy and resource management decisions.
